Fiber Arts Friday: Cashmere and Silk

For some reason I thought this was a Camel/Tussah Silk blend.  So imagine my surprise when I read the label again and saw that it is actually Cashmere/Tussah Silk.

I haven't spun anything like it before.

As you can see, I have some overspun areas.  One day I'll figure out how to make those on purpose.  ;-)

Of course this is part of Fiber Arts Friday.  Please head over to Wisdom Begins in Wonder and see what you can see.

That is not an easy blend to spin you have there. It looks great!

Ooooh . . . looks scrumptious!
Here's my funniest mis-read:
One time, while looking at a car, I asked why the new Camaro looks so much like a Porsche. My husband's reply was: "That says Carrera, not Camaro." Duh. And my degree is in English Lit!!!

Very pretty. I've never spun cashmere so I don't know what to tell you. I do know that my baby camel looks like that. It's always interesting to see how we spin different fibers.

It's such beautiful fiber, so soft and lustrous looking! Any ideas what you will knit with it?

I do have a plan for this yarn, but for now it's a secret. :-)
