My husband and I returned to Colorado in 2009 to live a simpler life.
Right now the goal of simple means we are busy. Busy fixing up our farm, raising Alpacas and Tibetan Mastiffs, racing wheelchairs, building flying objects, Alpacamundo, and Colorado Tibetan Mastiffs.
This blog is about these and the other things going on in my head. I hope you find it interesting, useful and inspiring.

Either way, there's signs of life in your garden - yippee!
It's squash! I have two just like it in my garden.
Cucumbers usually grow up, but it does depend on your variety. Congrats on the garden life signs :)
While I was weeding this afternoon, I realized the plant next to this one is the cucumber, so this is definately a squash... as Spinster Beth said.
I'm fairly certain it's the zucchini, but it could also be the yellow straightneck or the butternut.
I solemny swear to label my garden next year.
