The body is complete.
The first sleeve is in progress.
This was my first time casting on using multiple double-pointed needles and then beginning to knit in the round. However, as one of my friends pointed out, I was actually knitting triangularly. ;-)
I decided I needed to find a pair of very short #7 circular needles...
I went to three stores but finally found a pair that are only 11 inches long. I made the switch and began knitting much faster.
I have about five inches to go on the first sleeve. Then the second sleeve, chest and neck remain... that's it. ;-)

I love the sweater. The sleeves are great too. I use the circs. I feel like I'm all tangled up in DPNs.
I took my top down sweater out of time out...still working on that darn body. I need to lose more weight so I won't have as much to knit ;-)
Great progress. I have yet to tackle a project that large but you're making me want to try.
I have ALWAYS loved the Cobblestone - ok and secretly the model who wore it :) It looks to be going great despite the time. Cant wait to see it finished!

Here's a hint I learned about a year ago...it's called the magic loop and basically, you use a larger circular need and pull the excess between a couple of stitches on either end.
