This last week or so of Qiviut spinning has been blissful.
I was sad to be at the end of my single, but thought it looked so pretty in a cake.
It's now plied.... 1/4 ounce and 25 yards.
I haven't bothered soaking it yet... it's so soft and just the right size for my palm. All I want to do is hold it and squish it.
Happy Fiber Arts Friday.

oh luscious!!!!!!! I've felt some, but don't own any...
I have a skein of qiviut in the stash that I periodically take it out of the bag and give it a nice cuddle. Sometimes it's so hard to decide what to do with really special yarns.
Wish I could pet it :)
How about making an eye mask with it. Wouldn't that be a dream to sleep with!
Now that is a good idea... hmmm.
It looks beautiful, does it have a short staple length? I tried yak this week and struggled to get a decent single because of the sort length
I can feel the squishiness right through the screen.
Soft and pretty. That little hank would be a great movie companion for me...I can't sit in a movie without something in my hands...I have a bad habit that results in my cuticles being destroyed if my hands aren't busy. Nice job on the spinning!
