Spinning Again

With everything that's been going on this year, I haven't spun since the Alpaca-Bunny Smackdown last summer.  So, last weekend I decided it was time to bring out my wheel and spin a little.

I have nearly one pound of wool-mohair roving that I purchased at the 2008 Taos Wool Festival.  I bought this roving because I love the winter white color and the mohair gives it a soft luster.

Hooray for spinning again! My drive belt was so loose on my wheel that I couldn't really use it. And I really need the practice. Lol. Hubby and I tried to fix it yesterday. Hoping I can spin some this weekend

Thanks for sharing your post. Beautiful fiber!

I'm glad you're back spinning again..never can be too long away from the wheel! The fiber looks beautiful.

Is it really weird that I just want to shove my hands into that lovely roving? It looks so soft. I think I've officially become a fiber addict.

Thanks guys. I finished the first bobbin yesterday and have started a second. The yarn is quite soft. I'm mostly happy with how it turned out.

Katy - I hope you're working again.
