Kathryn's Brain: How Many Layers are Necessary?

We bought prepared guacamole at the grocery store today.

This brand is new to us, but I'm quite certain we won't be purchasing it again.

A plastic tub of guacamole

What is the purpose of 3 layers of plastic?

@Jaimie - They've been advertising individually wrapped prunes here recently which I think is pretty un-necessary, but individually wrapped bananas? Really?!?; March 31, 2011 at 6:14 PM

It does have me thinking why we're buying Guac when we do know how to make it. I think the reason is that we don't have regular access to decent avocados. I suppose that means we should just go without.; April 1, 2011 at 7:13 AM
