Fiber Arts Friday: Palindrome Scarf, part 6

Yes, I know it's not Friday... and yes, I have been out of FAF for a long time, but if I don't post today, it won't happen.  ;-)

***

Last time (mid-August) I had finished 39 of 50 grams from the first burgundy ball.

I have just finished with Burgundy Ball #1 this morning which yielded 18 inches.

My Palindrome Scarf is now 49 inches total.  It reaches a nice length when just hanging over my neck, but will need to be longer to make at least one wrap around my neck.  So I think I need to use at least one more ball of burgundy yarn, possibly part of another, then finish out with the 15 grams of black.

I find it interesting (annoying?) that this project was intended to use up left-over yarn, then I felt I needed to buy 4 more balls, it took me a bit to find any available in the US... and now I'm going to have a couple of balls left over.... and at my current rate, this is going to be a two-year project. At least my distractions are worth it.  ;-)

Be certain to check in with everyone else over at Fiber Arts Friday.

  1. Oh my goodness...hilarious. I am currently working on a scarf too that was intended to use up bits and pieces of leftover yarn and ended up buying 3 new balls to work on it. And last night I was debating if I needed to go back for one more. Hahaha

  2. Why is it a palindrome scarf? Does it repeat?

  3. Don't worry, I am way late at visiting everyone this week. Scarves always take a long time. It will totally be worth it when done though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the puppy pics.
