Fiber Arts Friday: Traveling Woman is Finished, Almost

The Traveling Woman has been bound-off!

I had enough yarn to complete it.... barely.

I can not tell you how relieved I am to have this off the needles.  All that's left is to weave in the ends and block it.  So once I get it stretched out, I'll be able to see the reality of my mistakes.  :-/

Happy Fiber Arts Friday!  Please head over to Wisdom Begins in Wonder to see all of the wonderfulness everyone else has been up to.

I love the colour, and it'll look incredible blocked (and I'm sure there aren't nearly as many mistakes as you think there might be!)

Being so close on the yarn like that is nervewracking! I'm glad you made. I agree, the color is gorgeous!

It looks wonderful, I am excited to see it after it's been treated to some blocking magic!

OH my gosh I hate it when it gets that close to not having enough yarn. I get that butterfly feeling in my tummy.

This is the first alpaca yarn I ever bought. I bought it because of the color and I loved how soft it was.

It may pre-date alpacas in our household... if not, it's pretty close. So I'm a little sad to have only a couple of feet left, but honestly very happy that it's basically gone.

The yarn is very splitty, so it reiforces my preference for singles over plied yarns.

I love the color of that shawl ... reminds me of pumpkins and Autumn!

Wow...I can't believe you had just that little bit of yarn left. It will be beautiful and don't focus on the mistakes, if they are even there. Focus on the beautiful Alpaca and all of your hard work. Enjoy the beauty.

It looks wonderful. Yay for having enough yarn!

Oh, my heavens! That's cutting it close!! This happened to me the other day with a variegated roving that I was using for a hat and nearly ran out of. It's a little unnerving! XXO-

Can't wait to see how the shawl turns out after blocking, which does wonders! I just cast off my Peppermint Ginger and used up every last inch of yarn. 3/4 sleeves, give or take an inch or so ;-)

It looks super, bloxking does wonders for this, which reminds me, mine is looking a bit sad, I might have to reblock

Wow! Were you not panicking while knitting it. Cutting projects that close makes my heart stop

@Keri - Normally I would have been panicking, but I was so dis-enchanted with this project that I had decided that I didn't care if there was enough yarn.

It was actually quite freeing.
