The grass is turning green, but was feeling dry so we gave it a drink and learned the puppies love water. :-)
The weeds are sprouting.
I learned last year that salt does indeed kill plants, but that a generous amount is really necessary to do the job. So I spread 6 50-lb bags over our rear parking area.
Remember not to use salt near plants you want to keep, because it will kill them and make the soil undesirable for all plants. |
We've turned the heat off in our house. I've found my short sleeve Ts and flip-flops.
The temperature reached close to 80 degrees F at home yesterday. I think it was a record-breaking day, but I'm not putting my long-johns and woolies away yet. We are expecting snow tonight and I still have several trips to Minnesota before winter is fully gone.
All puppies love water, don't they? Yours are still too cute for their coats. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd salt, eh? Hmmmm ... will keep that in mind. Love the daffodils!
Those puppies are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteWe had a 65 degree day today and I was able to turn the dirt for my garden. It was so wonderful to spend time outside.
Lovely daffodils! It's amazing to see how far behind you we are in terms of spring--we only just now have leaves starting to poke out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your flowers! Ours are not yet blooming, soon, I hope!
