Fiber Arts Friday: Recovered from Dog Saliva

Now that's a headline I never thought I would write.  lol.

If you recall, our very lovely and wonderful LGD's (Livestock Guardian Dogs) hatched a plan and successfully executed a llama-silk roving heist a couple of weeks ago.

Some bits were definitely felted, but most of the roving was usable.

The yarn has now had a bath, so any remnant dog saliva should be long gone.  ;-)

131 yards, 2 ounces

Happy Fiber Arts Friday.

  3. Somewhere I read dog saliva cures cancer (oh did I just make that up?)... Glad you were able to recover some of the roving, the yarn looks great!

@Claire - I absolutely know what I'm going to make with it, but I'm not ready to share. ;-)

  6. Better watch 'em. You know they get smarter every time they're foiled. Well done on the recovery. If it feels anything like it looks, then I hope you make something to wear close to your face. It's beautiful.

  7. @Lily - you are absolutely correct. They tried to foil me again for the next several nights. I'm feeling smart right now, but they'll get me. Sooner or later, they'll get me. ;-)

  8. Silly dogs, they're no match for your made alpaca skillz!

  9. You are persistent! Glad you were able to save the fiber for spinning. You should knit a little dog out of the yarn ;-)

  10. Hey Kathryn, Thank you for stopping by my blog and saying hello. I just tag my Ravelry favorites...socks, hat, sweater, etc. That way I can go to the list to the left of the pictures in my Favs and click on what I want to look for, socks, hats, sweaters, etc. Makes it much easier than scrolling down through 500+ Favorites. I hope you have a great week.
