Wednesday evening, Wonton was calling for my
attention. So I went out to see what she
wanted.
Wonton and The Alpaca Dog |
The door to the house does not always latch on it’s own
and did not this time. Unfortunately, I
didn’t realize it until it was too late.
Wonton, who is not much for opening doors, went straight
to it and kept it from latching until Noodle was able to come over and fling it
open.

The both of them went straight into my office and snatched something to play keep-away with.
They raced around the house until we cornered them in the
bedroom. It turns out that they had a ball of llama-silk roving
that I had started spinning. :-/
Fortunately what was already spun is ok.
But what’s left is now covered in dried dog saliva.
Some is definitely felted, but I think most of it is
salvageable.
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!

Oh no! That is kinda gross, hope you can save some of it
Eww! Bad dogs!! Isn't it difficult to stay angry at them though? They're all so beautiful. Hopefully that roving is mostly salvageable. Have a great weekend!
Oh doggie criminals! Interesting how they work together and seem to know exactly what to go after. They have good taste!
Oh the tales of doggie erring-do! But they *are* adorable, and a good thing at that. :)
Those dogs are smarter than we give them credit for. They know just how to get into the most trouble and then how to charm their way out of it. Hope you can save most of your roving.
I like how they worked in tandem. Hmm, sort of how they 'work', right? Still, they're smart and they know they shouldn't...bad dogs! I can't help but smile when I think of them working out the door together.
9Funny how they went straight to your office. They know where all the good stuff is!
@Jeanny - yes, these girls are very intelligent... that's why we hired them. ;-)
@Vivian - doggie criminals with very good taste... lol.
@Jocelyn - they are always watching and don't seem to miss anything. Even if I move something a 1/2 inch when they're not around, they always know that something is different.
They were very funny, had a great time doing it and were equally happy to have been stopped. I definitely can not stay mad at them. :-)
Oh no! I'm sure doggie saliva will wash out.
Oh my goodness!! I know this is so frustrating, but it really had me in stitches. We have a yellow lab that we have to keep under supervision at all time because she loves all things fiber. We came home one night and all my fiber fill from two big bags was strewn about the house!! What a mess!

Yikes!! Why couldn't they have found a nice ball of acrylic yarn to destroy?
