For some reason I thought this was a Camel/Tussah Silk blend. So imagine my surprise when I read the label again and saw that it is actually Cashmere/Tussah Silk.
I haven't spun anything like it before.
Of course this is part of Fiber Arts Friday. Please head over to Wisdom Begins in Wonder and see what you can see.
That is not an easy blend to spin you have there. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt's so shiny! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteOoooh . . . looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteHere's my funniest mis-read:
One time, while looking at a car, I asked why the new Camaro looks so much like a Porsche. My husband's reply was: "That says Carrera, not Camaro." Duh. And my degree is in English Lit!!!
@Inspriation Fibers - very, very funny
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I've never spun cashmere so I don't know what to tell you. I do know that my baby camel looks like that. It's always interesting to see how we spin different fibers.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting blend! I love the luster.
ReplyDeleteOoh, very nice!
ReplyDeleteIt's such beautiful fiber, so soft and lustrous looking! Any ideas what you will knit with it?
ReplyDeleteOoo, shiney! Love the color of this fiber. Thank you for your thoughtfulness on my behalf. xxxooo
ReplyDeleteI do have a plan for this yarn, but for now it's a secret. :-)
